Claude Bitton Man of Integrity

It has come to my attention that a report has been released with false charges. I like to state in this open forum that I have never waivered from my integrity in all all areas of my life, whether it has been in my charitable or business ventures. I, Claude Bitton, believ in integrity in all my business dealings and anyone that searches hard enough will come to the same conclusion.

That being said, on October 22, 2009 the Crown prosecutor, Mr. John Flaherty, advised Justice Shepaprd of Ontario Superior Court that all charges against Mr. Claude Bitton were being withdrawn. Following the advice of the Crown, Justice Sheppard pronounced the charges against Mr. Claude Bitton withdrawn. More news and updates to be followed in the near future.

Buying in a Recession

Ok, so you are ready to make a decision… you are ready to buy real estate. You want to find the best deal possible and the only way to find the great deals is to do your homework. Take a look around the neighbourhood; investigate what the houses sold for and not what they are listed for and how long were houses on the market. Knowledge is key.

I found a great article titled: Buying during a Housing Recession for you to read over if you are thinking of purchasing real estate.

I for one have not given up in this market. I have lived through the 1990’s slow down and the slow down the economy is currently having. I have always continued to build and will do so as I finish up my current real estate development project – Regency on the Ravine.

Kiruv

I’m touching on a new subject today – Don’t worry I will continue to discuss Real Estate and Fashion but thought I would add something new into the mix – Kiruv.

Kiruv as some of you may or may not know is the process of bringing Jewish people normally unaffiliated with religion closer to their spirituality and religion.

Kiruv is a concept that always has traditionally existed in Judaism at large however; Kiruv has become a more structured movement starting roughly in the mid-1960s by a ragtag group of people under the leadership of Rabbi Noach Weinberg and his Yeshiva “Aish Ha Torah”. This movement used the most modern methods of bringing Jewish people closer to their religion and spirituality. Since then, Kiruv has become popular around the world.

Here is a sneak peak about some notable organizations doing this outstanding work:

  • Yeshiva Aish HaTorah
  • Chabad Lubavitch
  • Orthodox Union/Yachad
  • Orthodox Union/NCSY
  • NCSY National
  • Jews for Judaism

Haute Couture Process

Dior Haute Couture Spring Summer 2009

Dior Haute Couture Spring Summer 2009

Haute Couture is a custom process. Defined by the Chambre de Commerce et D’Industrie de Paris, their rules state that only companies mentioned on the “list” produced each year are entitled to benefit themselves of the label – Haute Couture.

To earn the right to call yourself a, couture house or use the term “haute couture” you must abide by these rules:

  • Design made-to-order for private clients, with one or more fittings.
  • Have a workshop in Paris that employs at least fifteen people full-time.
  • Each season (i.e., twice a year), present a collection to the Paris press, comprising at least thirty-five runs/exits with outfits for both daytime wear and evening wear.

Fashion is ever-changing; now there is one thing that will always be true when you think about fashion at its finest – you will think Haute Couture.

Read more about the Haute Couture process by visiting my Fashion Website.

Fashion at its Finest

As said earlier I have a passion for Fashion – Its elegance, its originality, its workmanship. Haute Couture is truly fashion at its finest.

Haute Couture is a phrase that originated in France for high fashion. The originality of the unique design, the finest materials and the workmanship and service for the garment is justification for Haute Couture’s price.

Haute Couture is not just about the clothing but also about the accessories too. Accessories are made to compliment the fabrics and “theme” of the outfit. Come back tomorrow to check out my next post of Haute Couture and its processes!

Property Management vs. Real Estate Developer

Some of you may have read the previous post about property manager to a real estate developer – Did some of you wonder what the difference is?

Property Manager is the liaison between the tenant and management. The duties can include but are not limited to advertising vacancies, background checks, accepting rents, addressing maintenance issues and development and repair of the property.

Real Estate Developer is the coordination of converting ideas from a piece of paper into real estate. The developer creates, imagines, finds, controls and orchestrates the development process from beginning till end.

Created It, Managed It, Funded It, Controls It…

After reading my last post and getting a bit of a perspective on the type of person that I am… I would shyly but proudly say I am a holistic thinker. I try to always look at the big picture… my objective when I believe in something is to take that idea and bring it to life. Through the many turns and experiences in my life, I consider myself a multifaceted individual.

I am interested and have invested in

  • Real Estate
  • Fashion
  • Kiruv
  • Philanthropy

Most notably my journey of life has taken me from a property manager to a real estate developer. Click here to read more about my vision in real estate.

Creative Minds

Have you ever wondered why you strived for more? Or why some people are more creative than others? In Society we are taught to be “left-brain” thinkers – but in general creative minded individuals are right-brained or whole-brain, holistic thinkers.

Unfortunately, as a world of employees we are good at following directions but are not so good at developing new ideas.  To break this mold, we must become whole-brain, holistic thinkers. Icons such as Michelangelo, Mark Twain and Leonardo Da Vinci were holistic thinkers.

Breaking the mold is hard but rewarding. Strive for more and reward yourself and others around you with your offerings. Check out this article about how being creative minded has impacted my own life.
